Talking Climate Change

As Christians we are called to challenge the injustice of the climate crisis. We know the next decade will be critical for us to act. Every successful social movement started with a conversation - these conversations stirred anger, fuelled hope and inspired people to act. As the church, we need to have those honest conversations about poverty and the climate crisis that spur us into action for climate justice. Dalmeny and Queensferry Parish Church will be doing just that!

Join us on Tuesday 5th March at 7.30pm in Queensferry Parish Church for this discussion and help build the power for transformative climate action in our church and beyond. Tickets are free but are limited in number. You can get these from Dalmeny and Queensferry Church or from https://ClimateJusticeQueensferry.eventbrite.co.uk The event will include light refreshments.

The Big Plastic Count

For one week, from 11-17 March, thousands of people from across the UK will be coming together to count their plastic waste. And we want you to join them!

The investigation will reveal how much plastic we are throwing away, and find out what really happens to it afterwards. The results will be used to lobby the government to

lead the way at the global talks that could finally phase out plastic pollution for good.

Taking part in The Big Plastic Count really is easy. Here’s how to get involved:

1. Register: Get your free counting pack (digital or via post) which includes

everything you need to take part – click here

2. Get Counting: Count all your plastic waste from 11-17 March

3. Submit Results: Submit your data via the links in your pack by 31 March

4. Get Your Footprint: Discover your plastic footprint and use the results to make a difference

Exploring the God Question

– Science, God and the Search for Truth –
Are science and religion incompatible? Can real scientists also believe in God?

In a six-week video and discussion series, including interviews with scientists on both sides of the debate, we explore three themes:

The Cosmos, Life and Evolution, Mind and Consciousness.

From Friday 16th February, 7pm and weekly thereafter, in QPC’s Queen Margaret Hall.
