Church of Scotland Guild

“Whose we are and Whom we serve”
The aim of the Guild is to invite and encourage women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ, and to enable them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Strategy 2021 -24: Look Forward in Faith
Theme 2022/23: Wee Seeds Big Trees
With over 15,000 members, the Guild is one of the largest organisations in Scotland and has a rich history of service to others. Founded in 1887, the Church of Scotland Guild has focussed on serving our church, our communities and our world. It has always been a forward –thinking organisation. Every three years, the national Guild adopts a cycle of six projects and so far, in this second year of the cycle, £127,000 has been raised. The projects are challenging, sometimes controversial, but always worthwhile. This year, in Queensferry, we have presentations from two of the projects Unida, hear our voice – providing access to women in Brazil to accredited theological education, thus enabling them to participate in leadership of church organisations and in the wider society, and secondly Project Beat – supporting people with eating disorders.
Queensferry has an active and friendly Guild. We meet twice per month in the St. Andrew Hall, Tuesdays at 2pm and Mondays at 7.30pm. We would like to think we offer a varied and interesting programme – see below. All are most welcome to attend.
